Prefabrication is the construction process where the elements of a building construction are made with an industrial perspective through the use of industrial molds called in common parlance "formwork".
The term formwork, or formwork, defines the mold in which the concrete is cast in the fluid state and where it remains until the end of the maturation process, which gives it a mechanical resistance such as to guarantee the absorption of the stresses to which the manufactured product is subjected during the disarmament phase.
The formwork allows the repeatability with millimeter precision of high multiplicity of a single geometry, allowing the modular industrialization of the elements that make up the prefabricated structure; therefore it must be able to support the hydrostatic pressure of the concrete on its walls and must guarantee a watertight seal.
