The hidraulic press is a machine tool suitable for compressing a material.
The presses differ in terms of operation, mechanical construction and the material they work.
Compression is a mechanical processing by plastic deformation by means of static pressure or dynamic actions (hot or cold) exerted on the material by presses or hammers, in order to force it to fill the cavity between two metal matrices (generally, mold and counter-mold) . In the case of metallic materials, it mostly starts from solid elements in the form of bars, billets, blocks, disks; from a semi-fluid mass with high viscosity in the case of glass; from dust in the case of plastic material.
